A custom brick model usually takes months, because a designer is drawing it by hand and you wait in line behind everybody else. We took the drawing out of that line.
Your design within two working days
The studio shows you the set while you watch. Then one of our designers works out the real design with our own design tools, and sends it to you with a fixed price within two working days — not after months of drawing by hand.
The instructions write themselves
Every step and every numbered bag comes out of the model itself — nineteen thousand bricks sorted into build order in seconds. Nobody draws a booklet by hand here.
Every piece is a piece LEGO sells
The design is checked against LEGO's own shop while it is being made, so ordering the bricks is one upload rather than a hunt through substitutes. Nothing gets designed that cannot be bought.
Which leaves LEGO’s delivery as the longest wait. Once you are happy with the design, the bricks are ordered from LEGO's Pick a Brick shop and their delivery is the long pole — usually a week or two. Large models take longer, because LEGO caps how many of one piece you may buy at a time and the order has to go in more than once.

What you get
What is in the box, and how paying works
No part of this should be a surprise. Here is exactly what arrives, and exactly when money changes hands.
Every model includes
- Every brick. Genuine LEGO®, bought new from LEGO's own shop, sorted into numbered bags in build order.
- Building instructions. Step by step, generated from your model, with the part list for each step — as a PDF by email, or printed for an extra fee.
- The design itself. Pictures of your model from every side, and the full parts list, before you commit to anything.
- As many changes as it takes. The roof, the color, the tree in the wrong place — until it looks like the place you know.
- A baseplate, so it stands where you put it.
Ask for it and we will
- Build it for you, and send it assembled and ready for the shelf rather than as a kit.
- Open it up. Rooms inside, furnished, with lift-off floors so you can see in. This is what the Heirloom tier is.
- Light it. Lighting is bought as a kit and quoted separately — it never appears in the brick price. Say so early: a model that is going to be lit is designed differently from the start. The lights are usually not LEGO® parts, since LEGO's shop does not sell them; they come from a specialist maker, so a lit model can take a week or two longer to arrive.
- Put it in a case, with a plaque.
You pay once, when you have seen it
Nothing is owed while we design it, and nothing while you change your mind about the roof. When the model is right and you say yes, the price you approved is paid in full — and that is the moment the bricks are ordered.
There is no deposit and no booking fee, because you have already seen exactly what you are buying.
You pay by check, made out to Voxeloom; the email with your price says where to send it. We order the bricks as soon as it clears, usually in three to five working days.
Prices are for the model. Shipping is quoted with your design, since it follows the weight and where it is going.
Questions
Before you ask
How long does it take?
Typically three to five weeks from the day you say yes:
- A first look: about a minute in the studio.
- Your design and price: within two working days of asking.
- Changes: as many as you like, at your pace.
- Payment: by check, which usually clears in three to five working days.
- The bricks: ordered from LEGO’s Pick a Brick shop once it clears; LEGO usually delivers in one to two weeks. A very large model takes longer, because LEGO limits how many of one piece you may buy at once.
- Sorting, bagging and packing: two to three days.
- Shipping: two to five days in the US, longer to Canada.
We take on only as many as we can do well, first come, first served. If your gift must arrive by a date, tell us when you ask, and count on that date once we have confirmed it to you in writing. For Christmas, ask by November 20.
What do you need from me?
At least one photograph if you can, and up to ten: the front straight on, each side, the back, and a bird’s-eye view from above — the only way to get a roof right. If you have none to hand, the address is enough and we will look up the map views ourselves.

Do you keep my photographs?
The photographs you send us are kept only while your request is open, so your designer can see them: they are deleted when it is closed or declined, or once it has gone 60 days without a reply. The studio sends its photograph to our AI Design Studio to render your pictures, and Voxeloom does not store it; the pictures it makes are kept for 14 days, or longer if you share them, sign in or ask us for a quote. The privacy page has the details.
Why Voxeloom?
A voxel is a pixel with depth — the grid of colored cells every model begins as, before a single brick is chosen. The loom is from heirloom: a thing made well enough to be handed down. A house makes the whole journey here: photographs on Monday, a grid on a screen that afternoon, a box of numbered bags a few weeks later.

Yes. Every part is ordered from LEGO's own Pick a Brick shop, so your model is built from genuine LEGO® bricks and can be repaired with them years from now. We are an independent workshop, not part of the LEGO Group.
