Voxeloom Made to build. Meant to keep.

Privacy

Your photographs, your details, and what we do with them

The short version: we use what you send us to draw your pictures, design your set and reply to you. We do not sell it, we do not advertise with it, and there are no trackers on this site.

Who we are

Voxeloom is a small workshop in Providence, Rhode Island, that designs keepsake sets of real places in genuine LEGO® bricks. Questions about anything on this page go to orders@voxeloom.com.

Visiting voxeloom.com

We use no cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers. The site is hosted by GitHub Pages, which, like any web host, records standard technical details of each visit, such as your internet address, under GitHub's privacy statement.

The design studio

When you add photographs in the design studio, they are sent to two AI services to draw your pictures: Anthropic, which reads the photograph and notes what must not change, and OpenAI, which draws the voxel and LEGO pictures. Both process them under their business terms, which do not use them to train their models and keep them only for a limited time for safety and abuse monitoring. We do not store your photographs on our own server.

The pictures that come back are kept on our server, so you can return to them:

  • for 14 days, if they are in no account and no request;
  • for as long as you keep your account, if you are signed in;
  • for as long as we keep your request, if you ask us to design from them.

If you choose Share these pictures, we make a link that anyone you send it to can open. It shows the two pictures and nothing else — not your photograph, your name or where the place is — and shared pictures are kept so the link keeps working. To take a link down, write to us.

To keep your pictures yours, your browser stores a random identifier of its own (not a cookie, and nothing that identifies you). Your internet address is held in the server's memory for up to a day, to limit how many pictures can be drawn from one place, and is never written down; our server's logs do not record it.

Asking us for a design

When you send a request, we keep your name, email address, and anything else you choose to give us — a phone number, an address, your notes, a budget, and for a gift who it is for, the occasion, the date and the words for the card — so we can design your set and reply to you. It is also emailed to our own inbox at orders@voxeloom.com so we see it straight away, and we email you to say it arrived, and again with your price.

Photographs you send with a request are deleted when the request is closed or declined. The request itself we keep as a record of our business with you.

Your account

Signing in needs only your email address: we email you a six-digit code, which expires after ten minutes and is stored only in scrambled form. Your browser then keeps a sign-in token for up to 30 days, until you sign out.

Who else handles your information

Only the services that run the business for us, and only for that:

  • Fly.io runs the design studio's server and stores what it keeps, in the United States.
  • Microsoft 365, through GoDaddy, carries our email.
  • Anthropic and OpenAI draw the studio's pictures, as above.
  • GitHub hosts this website.

We never sell your information or share it for advertising. We would disclose it only if the law required us to.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it — your pictures, your requests, your account — by writing to orders@voxeloom.com. We will do it, or tell you why we cannot (for example, an order we must keep a record of), within 30 days.

Children

This site is for adults buying for themselves or as a gift. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us something, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
